Yes agree with above. I recently was reviewed and they actually didn't even consult their contracted assessment company for any advice after I did similar to that advised. I would remark on the sections of the form that there has been no change in disablements and refer to your additional pages for details of such. I did as itsthelittlethings says... used the additional info section to reiterate no changes in disablement, treatments, conditions and point out anything else of note including reference to any new evidence if it exists that you will include. I would be inclined to go through the information you intend to resubmit and check for any updating needed (such as you may have a more recent report to refer to or the person providing support may have changed) and perhaps refresh any examples that evidence how you are affected in relation to activities.

But yes.... if nothing has meaningfully changed then this is one way of dealing with review paperwork efficiently and it acts as a reminder to others that this technique (which can be no doubt also used as we shift to electronic warfare with the DWP) can save valuable time and energy and probably reduce much stress during a process inherently difficult for many.

  • After the good suggestions above, there is only one thing that I can think of that might help, and that would be if you could mention that you have an appointment with the Citizens Advice Bureau (if not, then make one if possible) - this can tone down the bullying that can come from certain people when assessing these forms.  Oh yes, and if they say that they have lost all the information that you sent in in the past, reply cheerfully (as I did) 'Well then it is just as well that I have every scrap of paper you've ever sent me and a copy of every form I've ever filled in!' - if ever anything arises that has to go to a third party, then you look competent and they most certainly don't.

I wholeheartedly agree with speaking to Citizens Advice. I may have been fortunate, but the CAB chap who does mine is fantastic. He takes no nonsense and knows exactly what information is or isn't relevant and what they're looking for.
