in Water bills
We recently moved, closed our account and provided metre readings. We were told at the time, we are due a refund. Got issued the refund.
Now Severn Trent have sent another bill claiming “human error” & that we were not due a refund as they did not create the final bill when we closed the account or get sent the refund.
What are my options? Is this legal & do I have to pay it?

Though this is pretty useless on the part of Severn Trent, yes, recalculating the bill is entirely legal and you will have to repay the money - they could take you to court if you don't.1
