Hello
I'm having issues with my bank transferring money across to The Tandem bank. Every time I make a deposit the fraud department call me up with a 10 minute grilling, is anyone else finding this an issue with their bank?

How are you trying to make the transfer - Faster Payment from your bank, Open Banking, Standing Order?

The issue lies with your bank, rather than Tandem themselves. Presumably the transfers you're attempting are being flagged up as unusual (based on your normal banking activities) and these anti-fraud measures are quite common when attempting to transfer large sums, especially to a new account you haven't made payments into before.
Are these large sums you're attempting to transfer ? I tend to make smaller test payments first to any new account, before building up to larger sums. I did this when paying into my Tandem account last year and didn't have any payments blocked, but everyone's experience will be different.1 -
How can you categorically state this when you don't know which bank it is? It's not as if Tandem is the perfect savings institute where any problems with their systems must be somebody else's fault. I use Open Banking to 'pull' the payments from my current account to Tandem. Not had any problems that way.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3661

I'm doing it straight from the Tandem app with my linked account, started with small amounts last week, then tried £1300 at the end of the week, received a phone call within 10 minutes, then £1000 this week and again within 10 minutes anther call. I get that it is my bank and not Tandem, just wondered if anyone had experienced the same and not to be concerned. I transferred 30K to another bank with no issues at all directly.0

Why won't you tell us what the bank is? I’ve never had an issue between Tandem and Barclays using Open Banking. What bank are you with?0

Never had problem either way Tandem / Lloyds and Tandem / Ulster Bank0

no problems for me , using tandem and hsbc with open banking, in fact ive found it one of the best and easiest to use.0
