Currently having exactly the same problem. My car used to drop off an elderly relative at Holiday Inn in St Davids, he is waiting a hip operation. He asked another passenger to look at his scooter, which wasn't working. Took just over half hour to get it going. Car park virtually empty. A couple of weeks later I received a parking fine notice from Park Maven. Tried multiple times to send an appeal, each time rejected as PCN number not recognised. Eventually able to send to an email address for inquiries on their website. Appeal rejected, said i should have paid to park. Spoke to Holiday inn, they said couldn't help. Have since had multiple correspondence emails including offer to pay reduced fine of £10 for time parked and their admin time. Tried to pay as, although I didn't agree, didn't want to waste more time. The payment was not accepted as the PCN number I have is not recognised. They have now said I can pay by BACS which would incur a further fee of £3, and we should put our PCN reference number in as the payment reference!!!. Our admin time is also now quite considerable so can I send them an invoice for my time, since it is their error?

They won't pay it.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thanks for the reply and advice LDast. I believe this problem is not uncommon with Park Maven. I didn't really expect them to agree, just wanted to send them something that wasn't in their list of 'how to answer' and get an actual response. I wont hold my breath but will post any relevant information regarding their PCN numbers if i get any.
