Paris Metro 5 Days

We are arriving Orly early Thursday evening & departing  Orly Mid afternoon the following Tuesday, end of August.

We will be staying roughly in the centre of Paris, with no plans to go outside of the centre, such as Versailles

Any suggestions on the best ticket combo

TIA
Private Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA :D

You can get a 10 paper ticket carnet for use on the metro, or there is an oyster card thing (Navigo easy) that can be topped up - I think these are only available from ticket offices (but every station has a machine that allows top ups)

I'd also very much recommend Versailles - the palace is lovely (but busy) and there are also beautiful and extensive gardens to explore.

Paris in August is HOT with limited respite due to a lack of green space.

There's also the île-de-france mobilities app which allows you to top up a card, or it appears to use your phone instead (although I've not done this).

If you don't want to do single journey tickets, then passes for zones 1-5 are available for various durations to purchase in the app.

An Orly bus ticket is €10.35 and can be bought in the app.

    A 1 day pass is €16
    A 5 day pass is €60
    (Other durations are available)
For comparison 10 single journey tickets are €17.35

Each person needs their own card or app on the phone.

Check on the official Paris website as some passes cover transport and museum entry.

The Olympics price increase runs to 8 September  to cover the Paralympics too.
