Just been refused in Tesco - annoying! Used the self service machine, the first one went through ok, and the second one (bit greedy, i know) said it needed approval. They took both off me, I should have kept quiet! They used the 'internet only' reason, too, even though I tried to explain. They didn't even want to listen...and now I have no coke!

Can anyone enlighten me as to how to put your coupon in the slot in Tesco self service machine without it asking for approval by staff? I always get the 'requires approval' message when I use the coupons, and the only time I manage to get the money off is when the SA just approves it without checking! It is because I have to fold the coupon to get it in the slot?

yes, yes yes same problem for me. The machines ask for approval EVERYTIME when i put them in. So far so good, today i have been refused!

Anyone have used the self service machines without any problems?

I have been using these coupons without even getting the coke at first I was picking the pack up but then I thought I'd try my cheek and just use the coupon.Anyway I have used about four now and today had an especially good run in tesco because the SA also took one of the internet daily mail coupons aswell so got £10 of shopping for £1.17.(using a few of the coupon net ones aswell!). Felt sorry for my mum cos she was behind me absolutely horrfied lol I haven't convinced her in coupon use yet!!

Used one in Tesco and didn't buy coke! Also used it with Mail book token and some printed coupons for £1 and £2 off nicotine replacement stuff! Over £10 off my £22 shop!

Now I can't seem to print them, wished I'd printed more than one when I did the first!

I USED 1 YESTERDAY, THE SA SAID SHE DIDN'T THINK SHE COULD ACCEPT IT, BUT ASKED A COLLEAGUE, WHO CALLED A TEAM LEADER. HE ASKED IF I HAD BOUGHT THE ACTUAL PRODUCT ( WHICH I HAD ) SO HE SAID THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH INTERNET COUPONS AS LONG AS THE PRODUCT STATED HAD BEEN PURCHASED.

Oh, as for the self scan, gave up on these a while ago, constantly asks for approval. I now just go to SA and ask politely if they will try some coupons, most go through ok
