Why does your sister you did not recognise her special birthday when she got a note advising her that what she received was not what was ordered?

She didn’t think to advise you that this  had happened?

OP, if your sister saw that these chocolates were a substitution by the supplier, why did she not contact you before eating them?
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
  • Well this has now been sorted extremely well.

Supplier admitted their mistake and claims to have changed procedures in light of it.
They also gave me a full refund and sent me a £40 box of chocolates as an apology.

So I guess it's fine to name them now as I'd be happy to use them again in the future

    Well that's good to hear.

Looking at their T&Cs it says this:

"It is our aim to bring you the very best in Belgian chocolate and confectionery.

We will always endeavor to despatch your order the day it’s placed (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays) providing your order is received by 1.00pm GMT. On the rare occasion that a product is not in stock this may not be possible. Should this happen, we will contact you to propose an alternative product of equal value."

I wonder if that's a change they've made since you complained or whether that was already in place when you ordered ...
