What is the best alternative to Sky TV & broadband package?

I currently pay £160 a month for sky tv and BB and I would like to reduce if possible.
The only tv I ever watch is boxing, so I want to still be able to watch sky sports action/ TNT sports & Dazn. I can't always watch every fight card live, so I still want to have the ability to record. I'm not interested in a jailbroken firestick.
I currently have the Ultra fast 1 BB and I need similar speeds for my work.
Can any one suggest an alternative?
NB. Virgin media is not available in my area.

How frequent is the boxing on TV?
Now TV would let you buy Sky Sports for just a day (standard price £14.99) or a month (£34.99) when you wanted it.0 -
Hello p00hsticks, thanks for the suggestion.
Nowadays, there tends to be 2-4 boxing events I want to watch every weekend spread over the various channels.
I had Now TV a few years ago but unfortunately it works out more expensive than my sky package. I also tried a BT package with their box before moving to Sky but they cost me even more.0 -

On occasion there are deals that will bring this down to a more decent level but often require a six month committent or whatever.2

I watch boxing on sky sports most weekends (at least once a month). I currently pay £23 per month for sky sports + £2 for HD upgrade, so that's already cheaper than Now TV. Plus with my current sky package gives me a discount on my monthly TNT sports, which I would loose if I went with NowTV.
So as I correctly stated above, NowTv works out more expensive in my situation.

I think the point that was being made is that Sky works out more expensive because you have to buy the entertainment channles (that you don't seem to want) on top of the Sports channels. You can subscribe to the standalone elements you do watch for cheaper than you are currently paying Sky.
Sky Ultra fast 1 :£28.00 (possibly cheaper from other providers for the same speed.

TNT (Discovery+) £30.99 per month
https://auth.discoveryplus.com/gb/product?flow=purchase&videoAssetId=6947211
Sky Sports (Now TV) £34.99 or £26.00 on a 6 month contract.
https://www.nowtv.com/sports-purchase
Dazn £24.99 or £14 99 per month on a 12 month contract
https://www.dazn.com/en-GB/account/payment-plan
So, at worst, you could be paying around £120 per month, versus your current £160. As you'll see though, offers are available.
You wouldn't have recording capability, so it's worth checking out what their on demand services are like as an alternative.

So as I correctly stated above, NowTv works out more expensive in my situation. But you don't pay £23 for Sky Sports on its own.You have to buy Sky Entertainment as well. Which is easily another £20 at least, so that's £43 at minimum. For Now you can just buy Sky Sports at various discount rates on its one, which often is available at a discount. As for TNT, the Now equivalent for this is through Discovery+ at the top rate tier.1 -

Because of my long working hours, I can't always watch live, so I'm only interested if I can record.0 -

OP hasn't mentioned if they watch Sky Sports in UHD, that's only available from full-fat Sky, not their NOW offering.
Not sure if TNT Sports UHD is available via the Discovery+ app (mine comes via a BT Box/Contract).0 -
