    I expected to use the phone more than I actually did and thought that I would put enough credit on it to last a couple of years. Obviously if I had known then what I know now I would have either have used the phone more or put less credit on it

    UPDATE

    A few days ago I made an online complaint to EE about losing the credit, and today EE phoned and although they couldn't retrieve my credit, made a goodwill gesture and credited my new number with £30 credit. Good to know that some companies will do the right thing.
