EE PAYG

Be aware that if you don't use your EE PAYG phone at least once every 2 months, they will cancel the phone number and keep any credit you may still have on the phone. I lost almost £30 of credit this way and hadn't been made aware of this when I bought the phone 10 months ago.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

As per their T&Cs they should have sent you a text to check that you still want to use the number. Did that not happen?"If you’ve had no chargeable activity on your account within 60 days we’ll contact you by text to make sure you’re still using your SIM card and that you’d like to keep your account active. If you haven’t used your phone for any chargeable activity for 179 days then your account will go into hibernation and any credit will be removed. Don’t worry, at this point it’s not too late to reinstate your number and credit – you just need to call us to reinstate your account. call 150 from your EE phonecall 07953 966 250 from any phone"
Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0 -
I don't recall having a text from them. If I had done I would have acted. When I had my old "clamshell" I got reminders from Orange, but they were at least annually, not bimonthly and obviously made the necessary callsIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

What did they say when you phoned them?

The number couldn't be retrieved, but if I went into the EE shop I could get a new SIM and number and they should be able to retrieve the credit. Got SIM and new number FOC but the shop couldn't retrieve the credit. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

It's actually 6 months, not 2 months, 179 days. I had this, but it was only about a week after, so they reactivated my account and I kept my credit, although it wasn't much anyway.

EE PAYG isn't that 40p per minute?Let's Be Careful Out There0

Given that they don’t seem to make a call or text in six months then the rate is largely irrelevant.Just to point out that all providers have this usage requirement (and have done for as long as I can remember) because OFCOM mandates that they recycle unusued numbers.0

You can pay a lot less than that if you sign up for one of their call packs.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
