@KeithP sorry it did not notice this point you made "Nowhere in those Particulars is there any explanation of what the driver is alleged to have done wrong." Is that all I need to put in my defence or do I need to elaborate any further. Thanks in advance

With a Claim Issue Date of 30th September, you have until Monday 21st October to file an Acknowledgment of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 4th November 2024 to file a Defence.
That's three weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

No, don't just put that in!

You must use the alternative defence wording you will have seen linked in paragraph 3 of the Template Defence itself.

The one for cases with the breach not specified.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

These cases take several months so there won't be any result yet, maybe in summer this year

@NewYorkRoadRunner, it might be a good idea to start your own thread about your predicament.

Or is this perhaps related to your ancient Mecca Bingo thread?
  • Mecca Bingo was sorted thanks! This is a new case, I'll have a good read up and if needed start a new thread, thanks again...
