  • I cancelled 5 days ago but can still access the apple TV. It says 1 month subscription paid by Barclays. So I might have it until the end of the month, not that I'm bothered.

I received a minor perk today as a result of staying subscribed to apple TV/Blue Rewards. A pair of Everyman cinema tickets to a premiere of Wolfs, plus pizza/drinks! First time I've seen anything like that.
I'll still be cancelling by the end of the month.

Jolly nice too. Was it an email or an online notification?

It was an email this morning. Tickets got snapped up quickly but I managed to secure 2 in a reasonably close location! They are calling it a Blue Carpet event

Has anyone with their Rainy Day Saver unsubscribed from Blue Rewards after September 4th?

If so, have Barclays advised when they'll downgrade the Rainy Day Saver?
Yes I unsubscribed 10th Sept and got emailed on 20th saying they are downgrading it. The document in my account is dated Sept 13th and they downgrade the account November 14th

If we close our rainy day saver (just before the downgrade) but continue to use it up to that point, will we receive interest calculated up to the day of closure at 5.12% AER or do they not give interest on partial months etc. please? Can't remember who I'd read this about. Thanks

Interest is calculated daily and is paid monthly. They don't close the underlying account so there's nothing to worry about there.

I think you might be thinking of Natwest Group's Digital Regular Savers, which do not pay interest at all the month they are closed.

Thanks - yes, that’s what I was thinking of as I am planning to close it a few days before the downgrade.

I'd just draw the balance down, wait for that final payment then either ignore it or close it.
  • A quick reminder Blue Rewards needs to be closed today by 5pm for those who don't want to pay the fee without getting the cash back.
