Has anyone flown out of BXH on an early morning flight recently? We fly on Sunday 07.15 & wondering if the queues for the lifts to Departures are still as bad as they were a few months ago.

Is there any point buying Fasttrack?

Have you tried to purchase fast track?
I think they may be sold out.

We flew from BHX last Sunday at 06:10.
We did twilight bag drop so just had to go direct to security.
There's now stairs and escalator (close to jet 2 check-in) to security as well as the lifts.
We arrived at departures about 02:45 and were first in the queue.
No scanners open but they did open them about 02:50.
Much better than my last visit in June.

Thank you so much Pollycat. That’s exactly the sort of info I hoped for. We’re also doing bag drop, staying in Ibis.
I gather part of the problem earlier this summer was the lack of stairs & escalator access to Departures, hence massive queues for lifts. Not to mention the confusion over liquids!
    Express Lane is available @ 03.30 & 04.00.

UPDATE in case it’s useful (07.15 flight 1/9)
BHX landside now much improved, all lifts, escalators & stairs working. Bought Express Iane tickets online £6x2, timed for 05.30 +/- 60 mins. Left IBIS @ 04.55, walked past long queue for security & were through, including pat down of OH, by 05.07.
Flight delayed 90 mins but that’s another story.
