We’re travelling at the beginning of August  and would hope the situation is improved 😢🥴😂

I thought jet2 didn’t use the lifts as need to use the stairs or are the stairs now closed as well?

Fast track looks like no longer available each time I’ve tried to book
I think it's the escalators/stairs/lifts before you get through Security i.e. land-side  rather than the stairs to board the plane.
    Building works going on.

Fast track is still available, but there’s a limited number of slots for each date and time. So I can still book, but maybe your date is sold out?

What does fast track actually give you?
Last year when we flew from BHX in June, queues were awful - queuing outside the building - but at least the stairs and escalators were working.
People who had fast track to Security still had to join the same queue until they got very close to the split between Hoi Polloi and fast track.

If you mean the stairs/escalator up to the departures area to the immediate right of the Jet2 checkin desks then this route was blocked off when I was there on Monday.

The only access to the security check area is the lifts.  Seperate queue for Fast Track but there was no queue for either lift when we were there.  As others have mentioned the problem time seems to be from about 6am to 9am when there are a massive number of flights.

Update as of today. Got to airport 8.25 for a 12.20 flight. No queues anywhere. In the departure lounge by 8.50. Despite an email last night extending the gate opening times to 31/2 hours beforehand due to issues.

Not entirely convinced by the body scammer but leaving liquids in Hand luggage was certainly a lot easier.

It seems that the problems are worst at peak times, especially the morning peak where the first wave of departures all depart between 0600 and 0800, that's when the airport can't cope.  Later in the day flights are more spread as is the wave of pax.  0825 is probably a good time to be getting there as the early flights are all gone.

Frustrating for people as it's quite unpredictable so the only thing to do really is to turn up extra early.  You've had a fair bit of time to kill in the departure lounge!

Certainly have. Very bored now. A paid extra for fast track that wasn’t needed and didn’t book a lounge because I wasn’t sure how much use we would get from it.
Better than standing outside for three hours though.

I guess better be in that position rather than being outside stressing about missing the flight!  Have a good trip.

Your experience was the same as ours. Our flight was 12:40 and no queues of note anywhere.  We also paid for Fast Track but I'm happy we did.  A bit of insurance against big security queues.
