Mattress recommendations?

I've just bought a new bed, it's not arrived yet. Adjustable due to disability which puts a limit on which mattresses you can use. I went with therapur artic actigel as I'm a hot sleeper, and I'll put a cooling topper on it to make it a bit softer as it's firm, but I do need the support. Hope it's a good mattress.
From experience I struggle with any type of memory foam, the outgassing gives me constant headaches and memory foam is seriously hot to sleep on, so those are things to bear in mind if those are things that you think may be a problem for you.0 -

I got my mattress from them and I’m so comfortable.About 3 years on and my mattress is still lovely and comfy. You still get the support from the mattress without getting a dead arm or pressure points.0

We've had an Otty hybrid mattress for several years now, and still find it really comfortable.
We bought a "rejuvenated" one on eBay at a good discount, and I think they still do these. They're often out of stock, but if you're not in a rush then keep an eye on the listing and they'll come into stock at some point. These are basically ones people have had for the at-home trial and returned. They inspect, clean and put new covers on before selling them. Initially I wouldn't have considered a "used" mattress, but then I reflected that (i) I happily sleep on hotel mattresses that hundreds of people have previously used (ii) these are nearly-new, with brand new covers and (iii) most importantly, they cost much less.1 -
I have an ergoflex and have done so for 10 years. I bought 2 more for the other rooms since then and it's honestly the best mattress for me ever - even after all this time.
They do a free trial so you can return it. If you are unsure you can do your research and try a few that have a 60- 90 day guarantee.0 -
Not a single person has liked or agreed with me about buying a mattress made of natural fibres. I mistakenly assumed this would be the holy grail for the majority of people. Memory foam is made from oil and a rolled mattress cannot have decent size springs - they would be damaged if the mattress was rolled. Man-made fibres are not temperature regulating and do not wick away body moisture which we all produce during the night. This makes man-made materials feel hot a sweaty. The Snoozel Green mattress contains only sustainable natural fibres like wool, cotton and latex.

I have a hypnos mattress with wool in the covering. It's very comfortable. I decided not to go for a memory foam one because I didn't want it to be too hot.0
