Non UK resident selling UK based shares

I am a British citizen, not resident in UK. I own shares held by COMPUTERSHARE, who are a stock transfer company. I am told by them I can not sell them because I am not resident in UK. What can I do?

Did you read your last thread? I wrote, "Seems like you're not the only person who's had this problem, see link below.

You probably need to find a broker you can lodge them with if certificated or transfer them to if held electronically. Do you have any stockbroker accounts in the UK or an account with a UK bank that offers stockbroking? You'll have a hard time opening one if you don't have one already but that would be easiest. Otherwise look for brokers in the country you live. Interactive Brokers might be one to look at.
