    Sorry I meant:
Was/is the ''offer'' the 4.95% rates? Or cashback like you get with Raisin if opening through them?
    Thanks. And thanks again...

It's a standard fixed rate/fixed term savings account. The interest rate is 4.95% AER paid annually over two years
    HL don't do cashback

Thanks. So the good thing of opening via HL is the 4.95% rates? Would that have been the same for the old/expired one?

Rates change all the time, you should shop around. Opening via HL lets you access lots of providers accounts with one logon instead of having to create accounts with each of them

You applied for the Close account with an Apply By date of the 17th and a Start Date of the 19th. This one

I can see the Close Brothers account is pending will open on the 19th.
It will be pending until the Start Date

It should show as Pending until the Start Date for the product which for that Close one is the 19th. HL wait until the apply by date and then send all the money from you and others to the provider in one batch payment on the Start Date
When you selected the account it explained what would happen

On the 19th it will be open and no longer pending. You can cancel your application while it is still pending
So HL insist you pay them the full deposit 2 days before? Do they just help themselves to the interest from all those millions?
