Absolutely, just want the end of it all, what a nonsense for 6 minutes of parking. Should I wait until closer to the end of the 30 days to email them, or just do that straight away?LDast said:The 30 day hold is not really necessary unless you really need it. It is a leftover from the days when we recommended that you get an SAR in order to flesh out what they were claiming. However, the advice these days is to let them file a claim with woefully inadequate PoC that breach various CPRs and Ads and is likely to get the claim thrown out.
The 30 day hold is not an extra 30 days on top of the original 30 days in the LoC but an extension of those 30 days to 30 days from the date you send the response. E.g., send in that response with a 30 day hold only 5 days after receiving the LoC only extends the original 30 day period by 5 days.
To be honest, unless you absolutely need the extension, there's no point including that bit. You want them to get on with it and be over and done with it don't you?0 -
The sooner you want to conclude this scam, the sooner you should respond, although they still have to give you the original 30 days notice.2

Thanks, I've sent off the generic response as advised. I'm assuming it will be dismissed so I guess now I just have to wait for the claim!LDast said:The sooner you want to conclude this scam, the sooner you should respond, although they still have to give you the original 30 days notice.1 -
A reasonable assumption.almostthere1984 said:

The lovely Gladstones even sent me a text this morning offering me to pay £160 to avoid court action. Any idea how they got my mobile number? I certainly didn't give it to anyone! Surely that classes as harrasment.0

Harassment is a high bar and difficult to prove, especially when these companies are tasked with chasing up an alleged debt, a legitimate purpose allowed by the courts, be it letters, emails, phone calls or texts
Getting the mobile number or landline number is generally an easy trace costing pennies these days, we all leave digital clues, especially if you have a mobile phone contract and reside at an address in the UK
Nothing to see here2 -

How can sending a polite text message - assuming it was polite - offering you a discount be classed as harassment?0 -
Ok I wasn't entirely serious about it being harassment, just thought I would mention it.KeithP said:

Is it normal that I've had no email response from my email sent to them back in June?0
