Gladstones - LBC query

Hi all, I've read through the FAQs having received my LBC from good old Gladstones. I can't seem to find the answer to the following;
1. Do I email their generic email on the letter or sign into their website to submit my response
2. Which defence do I go for, in my case I stopped on a petrol station forcourt for 6 minutes with screaming kids in the car and didn't buy from their shop. Doesn't seem to fit into the other defences I've read through.
3. The amounts being claimed seem to differ, on a letter from euro parking services they claim the charge of £200, then on GS they are saying it's £160. Original 'charge' was £60.
Thanks all.

1) email ONLY, no form filling
2) the template defence by coupon mad, adapted accordingly ( use all of it. ?
3) I doubt that the original NTK PCN letter or signage onsite said £60 , more likely to have been £100 , so £100 Plus legal fees and court fees, a typical loss in court is about £200 in total1 -
on a letter from euro parking services they claim the charge of £200,Err, show us that letter, please.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The pictures are in reverse order, as you can see the amount bounces between £160 and £200.

Looking at the original PCN and hte LBC from gladstones the charge is £100. £60 appears to be the discounted rate.
Not sure where the £200 is coming from.0 -

Pictures above - any guidance much appreciated thanks.1 -
To answer your questions in order:
1. Use the generic LoC response from the Newbies/FAQ thread, second post.
2. You don't need a defence at this point. They haven't issued a claim yet.
3. The only amounts that will matter are whatever they put in the PoC of any claim they issue, as and when.
The original NtK states that parking was only for patrons whilst on site. Whilst you may not have been a patron, you certainly never left the site. There is probably. bit of mileage in that if/when it comes time to defend a claim Until we see the PoC, it is difficult to advise except to point out that you can guarantee that there will be many breaches of Court Procedure Rules and Practice Directions in any claim that can and should be used against them when the time comes.2 -

Re point 1, do I need to ask them to put a hold for 30 days etc?
And regarding your reference to breaches of court procedure rules etc, you lost me a bit there, could you explain?0 -
Yes, follow the LoC procedure as explained in the newbies thread, but expect a court claim in due course0

Only put it on hold for a month if you'd prefer to get a claim in August/September, rather than July.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The 30 day hold is not really necessary unless you really need it. It is a leftover from the days when we recommended that you get an SAR in order to flesh out what they were claiming. However, the advice these days is to let them file a claim with woefully inadequate PoC that breach various CPRs andPDs and is likely to get the claim thrown out.
The 30 day hold is not an extra 30 days on top of the original 30 days in the LoC but an extension of those 30 days to 30 days from the date you send the response. E.g., send in that response with a 30 day hold only 5 days after receiving the LoC only extends the original 30 day period by 5 days.
To be honest, unless you absolutely need the extension, there's no point including that bit. You want them to get on with it and be over and done with it don't you?
