When you loaded the drives for the Canon it should also include a package to allow photo printing

The "photos" app include with win 10 will probably do what you want

Another vote for GIMP - Does all the basics really well and has all the features for advanced work. Also extensible with a huge range of plugins. Probably not the best package for sorting or cataloging a collection of images.

Piece of advice - If you use a search engine, be careful with searches for "gimp masks". You may well get NSFW results back
