opportunity to cancel NOW broadband - don't want a gap in service

I now have the opportunity to get FTTP. I currently have NOW Broadband 6 months into a 12 month contract.
NOW have emailed me with a price increase stating I can contact them within 31 days to cancel without penalty. NOW do not offer FTTP here.
In what order should I cancel NOW and order FTTP? Will NOW disconnect my service immediately on receiving my phone call? I don't want to go without an internet service.

Talk to your new chosen supplier of FTTP. They should be able to deal with taking over from/giving notice to NOW (but the swap from FTTC to FTTP might make this a tad more complicated. Possible that there might be a period of no service when they are swapping copper for fibre but the new supplier should be able to advise.0

Is the FTTP from Openreach or an alternative network provider, if it’s Openreach , have you actually asked Now if it’s available ? they do use Openreach and do offer FTTP so it would be strange if they said ‘No’ , but if OR FTTP is available from someone else , unless there is a phone number you want to keep you tell Now within 31 days and ask the FTTP provider to install, two separate things , if the phone number is required via the new provider, you let the new ISP advise Now on your behalf.
If it’s an Alt Net , it’s a totally separate network , but provided they can install quickly then being without service won’t be a problem , in the notice to quit Now period, you get the Alt Net installed, you may have two services for a short while ….obviously if the Alt Net isn’t available for immediate installation then that won’t work you have to signal your intention to leave Now quite soon after they advise of the price increase, if you don’t serve notice quickly then you are deemed to have accepted the increase.0 -
thanksordered with Vodafone - NOW then emailed me informing me of the transfer and that I would face no early cancellation charges.0

Great , it does seem odd though that Now said FTTP isn’t available, that’s assuming Vodafone are providing you with FTTP via Openreach and not via City Fibre0

I asked NOW if I could upgrade to fibre and they said no.for me on the various checkers NOW only come up with a 100mbps package which is way too slow0

There is an article ( TBH didn’t read it just noticed the headline ) that Now ( and Sky ) have rationalised their broadband portfolios and Now although always a Sky sub brand is more intertwined, and anyone ordering Now broadband is directed to the Sky ordering portal ( I’m guessing that’s what it says )
