Yes, change your thread title to something more suitable like

    VCS DCB Legal court claim

KeithP required your issue date in order to advise you about doing your AOS online,  deadlines for submissions etc

You can do your AOS alteady,  and your defence isn't due for another moth, but dont leave it until then,  this month would be better,  given the mistakes that happen in the CNBC black hole

With a Claim Issue Date of 7th January, you have until Monday 27th January 2025 to file an Acknowledgment of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 10th February 2025 to file a Defence.
That's four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

I send my defence beggining of the week and received an automatic reply stating, I will receive a reply in 10 days.
Do I need anything else, or this is sufficient for acknowledgement of receipt?

Its sufficient,  but they may not keep to any deadlines,  even though you must do so

Check your MCOL claim history online and ensure that the defence has been logged,  perhaps next week sometime

    Hi again,
few weeks ago I received acknowledgement of my defence via post.

Earlier this week, I received the following from DCB legal

"Good morningHaving reviewed the content of your defence, we write to inform you that our client intends to proceed with the claim. In due course, the Court will direct both parties to each file a directions questionnaire. In preparation for that, please find attached a copy of the Claimant's, which we confirm has been filed with the Court.Without Prejudice to the above, in order to assist the Court in achieving its overriding objective, our client may be prepared to settle this case - in the event you wish to discuss settlement, please call us on 0203 434 0433 within 7 days and make immediate reference to this correspondence. If you have provided an email address within your Defence, we intend to use it for service of documents (usually in PDF format) hereon in pursuant to PD 6A (4.1)(2)(c). Please advise whether there are any limitations to this (for example, the format in which documents are to be sent and the maximum size of attachments that may be received). Unless you advise otherwise, we will assume not."

I haven't missed anything, have I? I still need to receive directions questionnaire from court?
    Thank you.

Yes, I think you have.   ;)

Item 7 on that checklist you were following when you filed a Defence says...

Items 8, 9 and 10 on that list might be worth another read too.

I don't understand why we keep having to remind people who are half way through the first 12 steps to go and re-read them.
