VCS DCB Legal court claim - PCN Maypole Retail Park
Comments

Maypole Car Park.
I made several check ins at the well know Maypole hotel which has a touch screen at their reception desk which on entering reg gives an expiry of 24hrs stay in the Maypole Retail Park car park. On arriving a guest was at reception asking staff why he and his colleagues had received Maypole Retail Car Park pcns from previous visits to this hotel when they had not exceeded the 24hr parking expiry after logging into the touch screen. He was told to follows appeal process on pcn. I was concerned and then decided to photograph the screen showing my confirmed vehicle reg expiry time each time I used it.
I have now recieved 2 pcns September 2024, showing photographs of my car entering and exiting the car park well within the allotted 24hr permitted time confirmed on the touch screen. I have contacted the hotel but told that I must go through the appeals process on the pcn. The pcn does not mention exceeding the Hotels touch screen 24hr allocated time period..its as if this screen facility does not exist. It only shows the duration time of my parked vehicle exiting at least 5 hours short of the expiry time on the screen log in .
I have not yet entered my details into the www.myparkingcharge.co.uk..I feel it is gathering info as you open the online portal and will I then be able to enter the photo of the hotel touch screen as evidence. I have only a few days to deadline date showing on pcns.

VCS are not going to cancel the PCNs regardless of any appeal being made
If its a retail park as described by the OP, complaints should be made to the retail park management team, the landowner, and Travelodge head office ( because the hotel on site probably has no control over the parking company, which is why they fobbed off the OP. )
The managing agent for that whole site is the one with the power to cancel PCNs
Court is where these matters are eventually sorted out, so plan A is the best option here2 -
Thank you for your advice. Now to find a contact address for the Maypole Retail Park Management Team, Birmingham.0

Get angry. Copy in the hotel and say you are raising this with a local newspaper and your MP. And do EXACTLY that. Raise awareness.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you for your advice. Yes, it is VCS. Yesterday, I entered my pcn no. and car reg into the myparkingcharge.co.uk portal.. It came up as ' There was an error. You details were not found. It gives 3 options: Re-enter incase of error. Scan the QR Code which opens the appeals zat.appeal.com. Contact Car park Management Company.
As I am so close to the deadline, I continued with QRCode with each pcn to the zat.appeal.com appeals process. I entered my defence regarding the touch screen and submitted my photos of the touch screen. There is no email address for VCS on the pcn, only a Sheffield Business Park address that is why I continued the online appeal before deadline date.

But I advised you to lodge a complaint, not an appeal, which is pointless.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes, I understand. I very reluctantly returned to the myparkingcharge forum, as I was concerned about the pcn deadline and that any complaint to VCS may not be acknowledged. I have just found an email portal for VCS and written a complaint in the box provided. The link is litigation@vehiclecontrol.co.uk. Not yet contacted Maypole Retail Car Park Management. Thank you for all your advice.0

I have also sent a direct email to litigation@vehiclecontrol.co.uk with photos of the touch screen 24 hr parking confirmation for both pcns.0

Regardless, I also told you to complain about the PCN to the Maypole managing agent or landowner, which is not an appeal, its plan A. The complaint goes to the organ grinder, not the monkey
Vcs are going to reject any appeal, meaning that you would be no further forward , so its complain, complain, complain
You are complaining to us about receiving a PCN, take that complaint, add 10 kilos of steroids to it and spread it around to all the parties involved, dont take no for an answer, fob offs are not allowed !
You are not dealing with John Lewis or with reasonable people
No point in asking for advice if you don't follow it1 -
Hi,
I'm posting again on my thread.
My complains to the hotel didn't end up anywhere and was shut down asking to deal with the VCS directly.
Long story short, I received a few letters from the debt collector, which I ignored and didn't reply as advised here. However, this week I received a letter from solicitor. I guess they will escalate things and they're gonna take me to court, which is the only place where I can appeal my PCNs. Just in case, I have included the letter from the solicitor and seek your further advice on the matter. To me it looks like another threat asking me to pay, but also there is an option to reply. I have the feeling if i present my evidence, they will use it, against me.
I'm looking forward to your advice thank you.
