Phone stolen abroad and LNER

Options
My phone was stolen abroad so I was due to travel to same city Brussels in 6 weeks. I contacted lner to cancel its advance so usually they can’t but they said today “On this occasion I could refund you to an evoucher for a future date. About ten minutes later they said as we had paid to change train once already refund was withdrawn. I have reported this to rail ombudsman is there anything else I can do?

I'm confused - what has your phone being stolen got to do with rail tickets?

Sorry I got my phone stolen so no longer wish to travel. The stress and cost of replacing phone means I can no longer afford to make the lner journey in August

Sorry to hear about that - if you've elected not to travel (and the ticket is non-refundable) I'm afraid you will just have to 'suck it up'.  That's the problem (but advantage in other aspects) of Advance rail tickets.

As above, you are choosing not to travel, so you aren't entitled to a refund if the ticket is non-refundable.
