My phone was stolen abroad so I was due to travel to same city Brussels in 6 weeks. I contacted lner to cancel its advance so usually they can’t but they said today “On this occasion I could refund you to an evoucher for a future date. About ten minutes later they said as we had paid to change train once already refund was withdrawn. I have reported this to rail ombudsman is there anything else I can do?

I'm confused - what has your phone being stolen got to do with rail tickets?#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3661

Sorry to hear about that - if you've elected not to travel (and the ticket is non-refundable) I'm afraid you will just have to 'suck it up'. That's the problem (but advantage in other aspects) of Advance rail tickets.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3661

As above, you are choosing not to travel, so you aren't entitled to a refund if the ticket is non-refundable.
