The recent OneStream broadband warning highlights potential issues with service disruptions. Users best internet package should stay informed and prepared for possible outages. It's essential to have backup plans for internet connectivity to avoid significant inconvenience. Keeping track of updates from OneStream can help manage any disruptions effectively.

  • Onestream are absolute scam artists, I've never dealt with a more sneaky company for getting extra money out of you.  I was foolish enough to sign up with them, 18 months of my life I won't get back and they pretty much robbed me twice with hidden charges.  Even after I had left, and was no longer a customer of theirs, they still took money from my account with some BS scam as they had my card details.

I've had to instruct my bank to decline any further charges to my card from Onestream as they cannot be trusted with your financial information.  Its insane, don't go anywhere near them.  I'm in the process of trying to get the stolen money back, it'll get legal if need be.

Heaven help customers of theirs with vulnerabilities, they will absolutely take advantage.  No morals whatsoever.

Pretty much all of the complaints have been by people who clearly did not read any part of the contract or T&C's that they signed up to. Or understand the difference between a contract with a price and a discounted minimum term vs a fixed term contract.

The OP here is complaining about them, but the same would be the case with any ISP who does discounted minimum periods. Which is probably 80%+, so do we discount 80% of the market.

The follow up post is clearly a didn't read the T&C's.

Can't recall much in the way of complaints about the actual broadband performance or service.

Agree that they are one to be cautious of and to actually make sure you read what you are getting into. They have some add-ons that you have to actually cancel in the 1 month free period which is a bit sneaky in hoping people forget, but it doesn't appear to be hard to cancel them.
Strange how the majority are here for a single post, never to be seen again. Not that I'd use them myself from what I've seen, mind.
  • Let's just say: I've had five ISPs in my adult life. I'm pretty aware of what are common problems with all ISPs and what scammy practices are unique to OneStream.

Yes, the fact that OneStream's scam victims feel so strongly about the issue that they create a login just to warn others does two you something.
  • The hurdles put in front of you leaving are horrendous. My story is requesting to leave at the end of my contract but the new ISP could only arrange an engineer 5 days before the end of the contract. Despite telling them I would have course pay the final 5 days to see my contract out the demand was £248 early cancellation fee. For five days which I was paying for anyway! Scare tactic messages were sent to me demanding £248 which only have the link to “stay with us instead of having this huge fine” . Two wasted hours of escalating contact to get them to finally send an email confirming there would of course be no fee.

I am in the process of leaving OneStream as I am now out of contact. It is awful and ultimately costing me money to do so. I'm also not able to port the house number across. I wish we'd never signed up for them.

I could write paragraphs on how they obstruct changing providers but would gain nothing. Just take this as a warning to NEVER sign up to them
