I was here - lurking though but didn't think I had that much to pay off....then I added it all up! I don't think I would have achieved half as much if I hadn't found MSE so thanks to all. x
P.S. if you are lurking now like I was then just join in, it makes the lack of a social life while you are cutting back so much easier!Mortgage OP 2026 £640/2000Mortgage balance: £32,222

Wow - that was a great blast from the past!
Nice one...
Glad I wrote that - I managed to get the bank and credit card charges back, get my debts onto an 0% card, stick to my GTD organised system, lose some weight. Didn't get the ring tho
That's the challenge for this year - as well as getting rid of the remaining debt... Gonna be another busy DFW/MSE year then

It's my first anniversary here in January, so I don't think I posted on that thread. I'm ashamed to say, despite clicking, selling and money saving I haven't reduced my debt any in a whole year.
This year might be the same, but I am plannign a holiday to Florida, so as long as this time next year my debts are no bigger, I'll be a happy bunny!

I was a regular poster back then :hello:, hi to anyone who remembers me..
I still log in on a regular basis and get my MSE fix lol, but I kind of felt I wasn't doing too well so stopped posting and let things slip... silly I know...
My update - well I'm with CCCs and I managed to pay just under £6000 to my debt last year.. I'll need to update my sig soon..:o
My goals for 2008 are -
Pay at least £10,000 towards my debts (maybe go down the settlement figure route at the end of the year) if it all goes according to plan it would be fantastic as this debt is holding me back in other areas of my life..
