I was on that thread but I was very vague about my goals, although I remember later in the year vowing to reduce my debt by 50% which I have done. My goals for 2008 are simple:
-be successful at work
-lose 2 stone
-pay off all my debt
Not much to ask is it
Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24
currently: £13,353.25DFW Nerd 178Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
half way through last years and what an inspiration!!! This time last year was the the first light bulb moment for me. I have to say the whole year as life changed dramatically over 12 months in a series of LBM in just about every aspect of my life that can be changed. I havent reduced debt during that time, rather, it has got a lot worse......HOWEVER....i have now realised what a hold money had over me and things are starting to change (thanks god over and over again)
I know that despite the bleak outlook on my finances right at this moment ie, unemployed, no savings, £19,000 debt approx and only one month away from reposession, I am certain that this will be a good year. I trust that whatever happens, there will be a reason and I will clear a large portion of my debt. Cant wait to look back on this thread this time next year!DFW 228 LONG H 68

immoral_angeluk wrote:Well I'm currenty a month and a half into my maternity leave and expecting our 2nd baby girl in January (Due date 22nd.). Feel fat, in pain and generally fed up of being pregnant but glad the end is in sight. Since joining in October we've paid off 4 debts which feels great, but we're currently on hold this month debt wise as my work messed up my maternity pay which means we're just surviving this month/christmas etc and going in head first again with paying off our debts next month. Christmas has been paid for with our own money as all the credit card etc have been cut into tiny little pieces so no more debt for us. We're having a 'budget' christmas, especially because of the !!!! up in my pay, but luckily I planned ahead and got all our little girl's presents before I went on maternity leave which mean's she's not going without. It's out last christmas with just the 3 of us so we wanted it to be special for her!!
In general looking forward to christmas, the new year and our new baby. As well and fighting our debts head on again come the new year.
Awww can't believe I was heavily pregnant this time last year!!! and I was a newbie.... I'm becoming part of the furniture here now.. :rotfl:Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
