Hello I wanted to move my Help to Buy ISA, from last year, into a better/higher interest rate H2B account but open a brand new Cash ISA with my own bank. If I don't deposit any more money into my H2B ISA can I still transfer my current H2B ISA into a new bank account and deposit new cash into a new ISA bank account?

How much have you paid into H2B since 6 April 2024? You are allowed to have multiple ISAs, and contribute to them, as long as your total payment into ISAs in that tax year do not exceed £20k.
Transferring an ISA (using the mechanisms provided by the banks) does NOT count as new subscriptions and does not reduce your £20k allowance.1 -
Many thanks. I have not put any money into my H2B ISA in 2024 because I've got the maximum amount in which can be used towards buying a home, so I wanted to move it to a new H2B account with the highest interest rate, so it can generate it's own increase. Many thanks again, I'll transfer my existing cash ISA into a new bank and make contributions in this towards my 2024/25 ISA allowance.0
