What other damage did the highlight?If it really costs £600 to fix, the sensible solution is to take £3600 and the car, pay the £600 and be right back where you were, except you have £3000 to put in a savings account with "New Car Fund" written on it.Your car as a CAT N is worth probably 75% of one with no disclosed damage, so you end up with a £3000 car that you know is a good runner, plus £3000 in the bank.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
