MOVING HOUSE NIGHTMARE WITH SKY

About to move to house and was advised that Sky online moving process was currently unreliable so best to call. I currently have broadband (sky Superfast), Sky Q (with multi room) and Sky Talk and am in that contract till December 2024.
On speaking to first sky rep he immediately suggested that I would have to take out a new 18 month broadband contract called Superfast 35. I tried to explain that I was not happy about having to start a new contract for more money ( I currently have discounts applied) and that the broadband speed at my new address would be slower than the 40mbps average I get at my current address. He suggested that his system was telling him that I would not get that 40 average at the new address. However, I then explained that the property I was moving to was previously my mother in laws who previously had precisely the same Sky broadband and had also averaged 40mgbs.
He ignored this aspect and moved on to trying to get me to recontract the Sky sports part of my Sky Q package as they currently had an offer. With immense difficulty I politely but firmly suggested that we needed to needed just focus on moving my entire package as it was to my new address. I explained that come December I wished to have the opportunity to either renegotiate a new package with them or if not happy go with another provider. He still couldn't grasp this and returned to insisting that I would need to take out a new 18 month broadband contract. By this time we had been on phone for 45 mins and I explained that I would need to call back the next day as I was due to start work.
Come the next day I spoke to a different rep who not only suggested that I would need to recontract the broadband, but I would also need to recontract the Sky Q and Sky Talk aspect of my package. Again I queried this and suggested I only wanted to transfer my existing package j my new address. When I suggested I was not prepared to recontract and pay more money he rather quickly suggested he would need to put me through to his colleague.
I was then transferred to a third colleague who from his accent I think was in an offshore call centre. Thankfully this guy seemed to understand my issues and eventually we simply set a moving date to transfer my existing package as it was to my new address with no new contracts of additional costs.
Apologies for the essay but has anyone had this frustrating experience when trying to move a package mid contract? It just feels that Sky was trying to lie to simply get me to recontract when it was not required or necessary.

Crikey - sounds like the online process might have been less hassle even if unreliable. (I used it a while ago and it was seamless - wonder what's happened recently)0
