2 calls to CS. "Install app - do it via app - mess about...blah blah." Finally got it out ! Why couldn't they do it ??!! Bloody apps. Opened a new RS0

It’s over 15, upper and lower case and letters and numbers, but I still get the website error so it’s app only for me. At least they’ll process a product switch over the phone, as you can’t apply for a product via the app.Angelica123 said:
Is your password long enough? It needs to be at least 10 characters. And does it have a mix of lower and upper case? It may be failing for other reasonsKim_13 said:
I’ve tried * and @ it wouldn’t accept either of them.Angelica123 said:
I speculatively opened a Saffron account in the hope that they will run a similar member's loyalty regular saver next year. I use a password manager to create and save passwords and still got locked out of the account. Saffron customer service was very helpful in unlocking - they said don't use £, % or & as symbols.PloughmansLunch said:
You can also use the Saffron app to change your password (I just added a special character to my existing password to adhere to the newer password rules), and then login and apply via the website.Over62 said:I have also fallen foul of Saffron's password problem and the website has blocked my access. The app is still fine. However, you can apply for the new Members Regular Saver on the website without being logged in and my new account was opened immediately and is showing on the app.
Edited to add that my reason for saying this was that secure message doesn’t work for me in app, it wasn’t that I was unaware of it. But I didn’t want to add another Saffron login post in response to poster that replied to me.0 -

From Saffron's FAQsI’ve tried * and @ it wouldn’t accept either of them.EDIT : that string of characters might have upset the editor/browser, the FAQs are hereI need a 'Special Character' in my password - What is a Special Character?
A special character is one of the following:
!#$"()*+,-/:;=?@[\]^_'{|}~
https://www.saffronbs.co.uk/savings/manage-my-account/online-mobile-faqs
I couldn't get any combination of letters, digits and special characters to work, not even a computer-generated one. After four attempts on two different browsers I phoned Saffron, the agent eventually agreed to email me an application form. It's now being processed, a bit late as I forgot to include certified copies of ID.

For the record, my Saffron password is 11 characters long and contains upper case alpha, lower case alpha, digits and a "!".
For me any system that requires a special character gets a "!" thrown in...
