I have opened a BoS ISA in my wife's name, as our savings interest is now approaching being taxable.
Given our ages she wants all her banking in one bank, she doesn't want an online only app based account and BoS has a branch in our town and that is where our pensions are paid into.
Can I transfer the £19,999 directly (£1 from BoS to open account) from our joint Santander savings account or will I have to transfer it to our Santander current account then to our BoS current account then to her ISA?
I was going to do a test £1 transfer but I thought I would ask on here first.

Did you have to specify a nominated account in which your wife is an account holder when you opened her BoS Cash ISA? If so the funds into the ISA will need to come from that.0

Not that I noticed but the ISA account was opened while logged into her details of our joint accountmebu60 said:Did you have to specify a nominated account in which your wife is an account holder when you opened her BoS Cash ISA? If so the funds into the ISA will need to come from that.0 -
I'd probably play it safe and go the long way round, it doesn't take long, internal Santander transfer, FPS payment to BoS joint account, internal BoS transfer signed in as her.0

Ah I think I can only withdraw money from the Santander savings account into the Santander current account so I can't do what I want to do anyway.0
