ECO4 Eligibility. - Joint Home Ownership

My parents in law appear to be eligible for ECO4 funding due to limited mobility and an EPC rating of E on their property. However, they are considering gifting part of the property to my wife (circa 25%) and I wonder if this is likely to affect their eligibility / likelihood of success?
I’ve looked online at a lot of suppliers sites but is not a topic that is covered.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks

Do the gifting after the work has been done, if you want to be sure.2
