Thanks so much you guys :T

Just got to do my research pricewise now to make sure I snap up a bargain.

Can anyone tell me what the Nano normally (ie. pre sales) retails for???

    Thanks Again,
    Al.

  • another vote for the nano here. I have a nano, shuffle and a generation 2 ipod.
The shuffle is the bottom of my list, ok its small and portable and I don´t mind being a little rough with it. But not being able to choose your song is a real pain!!!
  • You can get the Silver 4GB Nano from Amazon for £89.00 or pay a little extra and get double the space (8GB) for £114.00 (depending on colour choice).

The Apple store sells them for £99.00 but you do get the choice to have it engraved on the back for free which I thought was a nice little touch.

We brought two of these for our boys for Christmas with their names etc on the back and were really pleased with the product and the service we received.

  • th guideline RRP for a Nano is 99quid for the 4GB model and 130quid for the 8GB, so you want a lower price than this (also note that you can get an 80GB iPod Classic for 117quid in some places, so don't just accept the RRPs I've listed - they're give you an idea of when something is at reduced price).

perhaps try a price comparison site? and don't forget the importance of haggling. most shops like Comet, etc., will try to get you to buy and extended warrantee for the equipment. I didn't get one of these (it has a 1yr warrantee anyway) and don't know the fine print, but apparently sales people often have targets to reach in this area. if you can get them to throw in some free accessories and you can cancel the warrantee within 7 days (thats the bit to check) it might be worth doing.
