I pay £15 a month for unlimited internet, texts and calls with smarty mobile but lately the internet at home is not very good and in work the internet and calls are non existent so I'm thinking of buying a second sim but I don't have a phone that takes two SIM cards so is it worth buying a new phone or use a esim with my smarty sim card.

Yes, you'll be able to use another providers eSIM and many phones will switch the data to the eSIM if the other SIM has poor data.
If you are generally happy with Smarty elsewhere then perhaps get a data only eSim ?
But if you aren't happy with Smarty then I would change your main SIM. I would avoid Three as that's the host network for Smarty.0 -
Does it support eSIM and physical SIM concurrently? Can you share your phone make/model?Idontlikeworking said:

If smarty is not good, why don't you PAC to other network?
Lebara unlimited is ~approx £10 for first 3 months, then £25 p.m.0 -
I’ve just used an ESIM in Japan. I bought it before I left the UK through Holafly. It allowed me to buy days rather than in in blocks of 7/14 days. If you download the Holafly App on your phone it makes the whole process incredibly simple. It’s very good value for money. The current chart for ESIM providers on the MSE website is only for USA and India and really doesn’t compare like for like. Holafly came to me through a personal recommendation and I haven’t been disappointed.0
