This is the 2nd case in the past month or so of someone spending quite a lot of money on a vehicle and not checking it over when collecting it.

Can I ask why that never happened because it would have been very much easier to reject the car based on any damage before you drove it away?

I was never given the opportunity after the refurbished work was done on the alloys, which is my fault I should have demanded to see it in person. I would expect that a vehicle be sold as described and not suffering accidental damage. If the damage happened during the refurb I would expect them to inform me before I've completed payment

If you drove the car home, then did you not check before leaving the dealership?

All the paperwork was completed then the car was brought round from the workshop to the front of the dealership. I was already the legal owner. Very helpful thanks 

‘Helpful’ in your case would have been physically checking the car before signing the paperwork and becoming the owner

Not doing that is causing the grief/hassle you’re going to go through over the coming weeks. 

As others have said - return the car and its keys now - that will focus the mind of the dealership. And if you’ve any amount of the car on credit then advise the finance/credit card company
