I have passbooks from the Coventry and Nottingham Building Societies, but they don't show my address.
I vaguely remember passbooks with my address on, but I can't remember which building society it was, and it was many years ago, so they probably don't show the address anymore.
As the passbook is updated whenever you want, it is akin to a passport but to prove your address, without needing to print bank statements.
As above, it's unlikely to be viable to use a passbook for this, but who are you anticipating needing to prove your address to?
I have been using it for this purpose for many years, and it is often listed as a valid document in the proof of address when needing to prove address. I use it often for the jobcentre, opening accounts, dealing with businesses, etc.
It really beats having to print a bank statement every single time.
Printed off bank statements are generally not accepted for proof of address, they need to be sent in the post ones so there is a fair chance that the address is correct.
