Everyone on UC gets 12 payments at the new rate. Some get it sooner than others.

I understand your annoyance- I myself have to wait until my 2nd June payment to see the increase - but at the end of the day I still get 12 payments at the increased rate.

One that stands out for me right now are no pension credit for mixed age couples, even when the younger member has given up work to be a carer for the pensioner, or when the younger member has a debilitating illness. This means some pensioners are not eligible for the minimum income guarantee of pension credit, and don't even get the pensioner premium of ESA if the couple are migrated to UC first. The pensioner loses A LOT of money in comparison to others.
I agree with that but this isn't the place for this. This forum is for help with benefits entitlement and not about benefits policy, as stated In the sticky at the top of the forum.

Yep, I agree, was just giving an example of the innate unfairness of the benefits system. My message was 'don't waste energy on fights you can't win'. As others have said go with trying to change policy rather than complaining to DWP.

Er, almost. Some years I have had 13 payments and other years it's been 11 payments at the given rate, which can happen if your AP end date happens to fall around the first Monday of the new tax year. Probably all averages out in the long run, and is all caused by the fact the actual date changes from year to year depending on what day of the week 6th April happens to fall on.
Given UC is a shiny new monthly benefit system, you'd think they could stick with a set date (e.g, 1st or 6th April), but they decided to adopt the old legacy system used for weekly benefits - d'oh!
