More sympathy from me @Cherryfudge - slugs have just been dire this year. I’ve lost so many plants to them.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

So, this weekend:

The lawns are delegated here so they were done yesterday so now I know how much green bin space I have left.Trying to do at least 15 minutes of weeding every day but my back is protesting. Must turn the mattress and see if that helps.Where I have weeded I am top dressing with compost to try and improve the soil and help keep the weeds down. I need to get done bark tooMy mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

That's the perfect Saturday list for us thanks.
Lawns are growing, houseplants and tomatoes need food, weeds need at least 15 minutes...

I got someone else to do the weeding and cut back some overgrown shrubs by the gate yesterday. Does that count?
The shed repairs are ongoing this morning, so no gardening (lots of housework instead), but I plan to mow tomorrow and feed the greenhouse. I'd like to get round to sowing more salad and potting up some baby spider plants, but suspect that won't. happen.5 -
Looks like the heavens are about to open here so no mowing today. Mostly I'm going to investigate the fences - there is evidence of a cow having been in the garden (table and bench tipped over, long grass munched, and several large cow footprints 😂) but I can't see how it's got in 🤔4

I got the lawn cut and the houseplants and tomatoes watered, phew. The weeding will have to wait a couple of days or so.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Spent quite a bit of time outside today, but it wasn't exactly domesticated gentle gardening 😂 Fixed the fence (cows are now in another neighbour's garden - but he's elderly and his grass is very overgrown, and they can't get out into the road, so they can just stay there til the grass is eaten and I'll fix the wall later, or the farmer will).
Also got the scythe out and scythed the first row in the hay field 😊
And we took yesterday's rose prunings (and some other stuff) to the tip 😊5 -
Lots of slug sympathy - they have been invading my garden too. And on a local media site someone was coo-ing over the lovely ones she's finding in her garden and explaining how she's feeding them to keep them healthy. The response was surprisingly well mannered.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
