Blinds 2 Go

Hi ordered 2 Roman Blinds with tassels. Paid via 3 monthly instalments on PayPal and paid Measurement Insurance. Fully paid up that’s how long this has been going on.
1st pair were too long with the tassels plus a small measurement error of 5mm on our part. B2G told us to resend measurements including tassels and they would sort.
2nd pair arrived still too long when the blinds were drawn the tassels ended up disappearing and sitting on window sill. Also quality of blinds was shocking. Emails and direct conversation with B2G assured us that 3rd pair would be right length and of good quality.
Yes you guessed it 3rd pair still too long by tassel length.
Asked for 50% discount so we could get them altered ourselves. B2G response ‘Our production team have responded and advised the trim on the Eternity Linen Teal & Spring Trimmed Roman Blind is additional to the given drop. This does mean the blinds have come correct. Due to this the best we can offer to amend this is 50% off a reorder in the adjusted drop’
We asked for the second pair of blinds to include the tassels in the drop.
Can anyone please advise how we should respond.
Many thanks 🙏

A photo or two of the issue might help with opinions OPIn the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0

Hi pictures as requested, as you can see there are a row of tassels which disappear when the blinds are closed. No where on the Blinds 2 Go website does it say that for this style of blinds the measurement does not include the trim.Even say for the devilment we accept that they are right and the tassels should disappear when closed, we specifically asked for the 2nd and 3rd set of blinds to include the trim.0

Thanks OP, so you were expecting the bottom of tassels to basically meet the window sill and be visible rather than tuck away when the bind is down at full length.
Does Paypal offer any kind of buyer protection with their monthly payment scheme?
Was the quality issue resolved with the third blind? In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces1 -
Im a bit confused by the photo. Are they 2 separate images with the bottom part showing the blind closed?
The website does say this about the trimmed Roman Blinds-- Please note: the pom-poms will hang lower than the overall drop of the blind to prevent light leakage when the blind is fully lowered

Had a look at PayPal protection and they state
Significantly Not as Described Claims
Not sure if this would count. An item may be considered Significantly Not as Described if:
- The item is materially different from the seller’s description of it.
- You received a completely different item.
- The condition of the item was misrepresented. For example, the item was described as “new” but the item was used.
- The item was advertised as authentic but is not authentic (i.e. counterfeit).
- The item is missing major parts or features and those facts were not disclosed in the description of the item when you bought it.
- You purchased a certain number of items but didn’t receive them all.
- The item was damaged during shipment.
- The item is unusable in its received state and was not disclosed as such.
1st set of blinds were the best quality but too long, even taking into consideration our mistake.
2nd set were shockingly made and too long
3rd set were not as bad but still poor quality and too long

As for quality, that is subjective really.0 -
We were expecting the tassels to show when closed. The first set of blinds we did make an error in measuring but had measurement insurance. We talked directly to B2G who advised us to resend measurements to include the tassels. We made a specific point on the order stating the measurements included the tassels. As we did with the 3rd set0

As I see it there are two separate matters here, which have become linked because of all the back and forth.
I think your original complaint about the tassels point was unjustified, because the length is dealt with in the description reasonably clearly. Add in your own measuring mistake and they appear to have acted with goodwill to correct your error. However, if your new measurements accounted for the fact you wanted the blind to fall slightly short and they didn't do that, I think you have a legitimate complaint there.
The quality is another matter, and to be honest, you might be better off trying to reject on that basis, because all the faff with the tassels is an unnecessary distraction and does nothing for your case except perhaps to undermine it slightly, given the original description and your own measurement error.0 -

Personally speaking I can't see the point of the tassles, but if you want them and the blinds are fitted inside the window recess, then you get either (a) a gap at the bottom of the blind the height of the tassles, or (b) the tassles lie on the window sill either in front or behind the blind, so either can or can't be seen.
The first alternative (a) doesn't sound sensible, as why would you want a gap at the bottom of the blinds?
The second (b) sounds like how they were designed to hang. So if you want to see the tassles you heve to move them so that they fall on the room side of the blind - not the window side0 -
