The June fix is what I went for, MSE showed it as a 7% saving and it was cheaper that my current fix with so energy so I decided to go for it. At least I'm paying less than I was which was the main thing. kicking myself I didn't sign up to the May BG tariff before it disappeared as that was even cheaper... oh well live and learn etc

Fixed Tariff 12M v5 has not changed since you started posting considering switching to British Gas.kev2009 said:kicking myself I didn't sign up to the May BG tariff before it disappeared as that was even cheaper... oh well live and learn etc

Yes I know you posted monthly quote costs had become more expensive, does not alter fact SC and unit rates have not increased.0 -
The BG one I originally saw was May 12M V3 I believe it was called or similar to that. That one was stopped and then the V5 one came up a short while after.

More than likely you are confusing tariff names with Octopus you mentioned on 30 May you had looked at, Octopus had May 12m v3 then May 12m v4, now June 12m v1kev2009 said:The BG one I originally saw was May 12M V3 I believe it was called or similar to that. Nope, I found it - it looks to have been BG Fixed Lighter May25v4.

Yes suspect comparison site had it under a different name but the rates looks familiar as I recall 11p a day standing charge but I was still deciding then and by the time I did, it had gone and replaced with a more expensive tariff so hence wish I'd signed up.0

KevWhat are the chances of us seeing another tariif like this from BG or another supplier? I was going to switch to it, but it had been withdrawn
Annoyingly the MSE comparison tool keeps showing a similar tariff from OVO, but it is only for people on a standard meter, not a smart meter.0 -
The chances are very high, but the big question is when.0

I think I was lucky getting this, I had first switched to the one with higher standing charge.xflare said:kev2009 said:Nope, I found it - it looks to have been BG Fixed Lighter May25v4.
