    I’d go 80% HSBC All World and 20% L&G Global 100
    Based on what rationale?

I rang HL last week asking them about this fund that will be launched in first week of June 2024

HL MULTI-INDEX ADVENTUROUS CLASS A - ACCUMULATION (GBP)

and they told me that the holdings of the new fund will be similar to

HL ADVENTUROUS MANAGED CLASS A - ACCUMULATION (GBP)

Any views on this fund as this fund in funds , US holdings  55.34%,  UK holdings 9.15%

Up to you if you need more diversity than you'd already get with an all-world tracker - given the more than double fee, that would be some need.

If you accept premise that markets generally increase, lump sum will generally win out. If you don't think markets will increase then have to ask why consider investing in them in the first place. But cost-average can help with the 'what if' worry.

My only view is that it is more expensive than the equivalent Vanguard, HSBC, L&G, BlackRock etc funds and isn't actively managed, so no reason to pay more.

I am still in the search for a fund/s for my HL account and found this

    https://www.hl.co.uk/funds/fund-discounts,-prices--and--factsheets/search-results/f/fidelity-index-world-class-p-accumulation

    Any difference when compared to

    https://www.hl.co.uk/funds/fund-discounts,-prices--and--factsheets/search-results/h/hsbc-ftse-all-world-index-class-c-accumulation

Both have an OCF of 0.12%

FIDELITY INDEX WORLD CLASS P is on the HL;s Wealth Shortlist , Its Fund size is £7,707 million which is twice that of HSBC but number of holdings are 1472 as compared to HSBCs holding which are 3600.

So I am a bit confused as what to look for in a fund when making a decision to invest,
Fund size, no of holdings, fund launch date  OCF etc

and which to choose from the above two.

    Please can someone help/suggest regarding
How much cash must be left in S&S ISA for the fees of the fund of the HL.
What if use the whole amount of £20k to buy the funds, what will happen in that scenario as there will be no cash left to the the fund and the HL fees?

The HSBC fund includes emerging markets, so is more diversified. The Fidelity fund is developed markets only. Both are 100% equities, so no bonds.

That would depend on the amount invested in funds, If it was £20,000 then it would be £90 (20,000 * 0.45%) for a year paid monthly

They will sell sufficient of your fund to pay their fees
You can choose to have the fees paid from the Fund & Share GIA to maximise your ISA holdings. Just deposit enough with a card to pay for however many months you want, e.g. £45 every 6 months
