I paid for a title plan, the website says it should arrive within ten minutes.  It's been an hour and a half and still no email.  Do I just give up until tomorrow or is there still a chance it will arrive today?

Odd. It's an automated process. I bought one yesterday on Sunday and as per usual it was available to download well within 10 minutes.

If your title plan still hasn't arrived, then if I was in your position I would order a title plan for a different house to see if that arrives.

That was what I thought, it should be automated.  It's not in junk folder. I'm not paying another £18 for a random house just to see if the system's working!  It will have to wait until I can ring a helpline tomorrow.  I don't have another house viewing booked until Wednesday but the boundary line on the front garden is a bit confusing and a couple of people have asked exactly where it lies.

Oh wait, this isn't the £3 online copy of the title plan, but the full official copy? In which case, please ignore what I said.

Well that was stupid.  Why did I pay £18 for the official copy when all I really needed was the £3 download?  Which arrived instantly when I went back in and paid for it?
At least you will have the full official copy, and can store it away for when you need it.

If you are using the official government service then it’s an immediate download, not an email. If you’ve paid £18 it doesn’t read as if that’s us.
If you did use us and the download isn’t available then something may have gone awry re payment. Contact us if so to confirm

Are you sure you were using the correct website the first time -there are plenty of 'looky-likey' sites out there happy to take your money for something you can get cheaper by going direct and I suspect that is what you may have inadvertently done first time round.

The official site is a gov.uk one

Yes - I fell for it.  GAHHH!

The silly thing is, I already almost did the same thing, thought I had to pay £18 then realised just in time it was only £3, when I checked the house was in my name.

No use crying over spilt milk.

Depends how you paid, did the bank ask you to authorise the payment using your phone? Or the site just took your card details?
