PCN charge help needed please! Newbie

Hello!

I have had a look through the FAQ section but i would like a little further help please is possible

i have been issued a PCN for parking in a disabled bay and my mum had forgotten to display her disabled badge so yes totally our fault and happy to pay the fine issued but

I only received the fine yesterday 23rd May the fine was for parking on the 15/3/2024 so it’s taken over 2 months to get to me!

Contravention date was 15/3/2024
issued date 17/5/2024
payment to be made by date 12/04/2024
discounted charge date 29/03/2024

I have tried to pay online today its telling me its £100 as obviously the date has passed for me to only pay £60 and also when i try to appeal with regards to the cost and the dates it just keeps telling me i have reached the maximum number of appeals for this PCN and i haven’t even made any!! And of course the only way i can contact them is in writing

anyone have an idea of what i can do? Or do i just pay the £100 and be done  with it
so dam annoying totally out of my control and why has it taken so long to issue the PCN to begin with?

thanks everyone

Post redacted pictures of both sides of the PCN leaving all dates and times and location showing, no personal information, plus pictures of the signs if possible

Ideally follow plan A, get the business or retail park management team or landowner to cancel the PCN ASAP

The parking company has 6 months to obtain keeper details and one month to get the PCN to the keeper

Its not a fine, its a parking charge notice, and invoice

@Avaella2712 please stop whatever you are doing immediately. You won't be paying a penny to these scammers. Why are victims of these unregulated private parking companies so eager to pay the "fines"? If you can show me the word "fine" in any of the paperwork you received, I will pay it for you.

There are so many flaws in that NtK that as long as the keeper does not identify the driver, it is a "golden ticket". Whatever you do, do not contact them for now. You must not, under any circumstances identify who was driving. Only the driver is liable and they have no idea who that was. Because the NtK is not PoFA compliant, they cannot transfer that liability from there driver to the keeper.

That NtK was "issued" on 17th May 2024. If they wanted to rely on the provisions of PoFA to be able to transfer the liability from the driver, who they have no idea who that was, to the keeper, then they should have issued that NtK no later than 27th March. They didn't so they can't.

Apart from that there are other glaring flaws in the NtK with dates and deadlines. You should complain (not appeal) to the intellectually malnourished eejits at UKPA and explain that they only issued there NtK on 17/5/25 but their deadline for payment states 12/5/24. An impossibility. You should also complain to the BPA about their stupidity.

They must give you an opportunity to appeal, even if only to get a POPLA code out of it.

Whatever you do, stop panicking and certainly do not pay the scammers. Thankfully you didn't manage to actually pay them.

Please read the NEWBIES thread properly over the weekend.  It's at the top of the forum in capital letters, begging everyone to read it first.

Just ignore UKPA, stop trying to pay, stop trying to appeal and please don't call this scam invoice a 'fine'.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

hi a newbie here first ever post... ever !!!

been reading the threads and needing some help

I have been given UKPA charge letter which I was gonna pay the £65 reduced rate until I saw the deadline date which was 26/06 and when I tried to pay but it was charging £100, it is a bit unfair that I didn't receive the letter till the deadline date and it wasn't til after work that I tried to pay so the date had elapsed. Now the thing is it was the wife that took the car and what she recalls is that a shopper who was returning to her car and offered her ticket as it still had 2 hours left on the ticket and as she was returning a dress she took the ticket not thinking too much of it. and we are now being charged. not sure what to do here tbh.
