As standard, you will now be dealing with Birmingham court once they write to you, could be a while, so wait for their letter ( the CNBC in Northampton are no longer involved )2
-
Usually they tend to discontinue ( not dismiss ) before the trial fee is paid, not at this early admin paperwork stage, so when further payment is due, not before then. It's not actually going to a hearing, in court, until after that particular court receives some money, until then it's all paperwork and admin

The N279 NoD tends to be issued a few weeks before the hearing, so before that trial hearing fee needs to be paid2 -

Right ... so you've read page two and know your WS and evidence deadline then. Which you were hopefully expecting because this is completely normal and covered in the NEWBIES thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Witness Statement
I, [Name], of [Address],[claim number] make this statement in response to the claim regarding the alleged parking contravention dated 12/02/2023.
-
I deny that I am indebted to the Claimant as alleged in paragraph 2 of their claim. No Parking Charge Notice (PCN) was issued to me on the date of the alleged visit, 12/02/2023.
-
Although I am the registered keeper of the vehicle, I deny paragraphs 3 and 4 of the claim and do not accept liability for the alleged contravention.
-
At no time was my vehicle parked in breach of any clearly displayed and prominent terms and conditions. The vehicle was only stopped temporarily for approximately 16 minutes, which does not constitute a parking violation.
-
The amount claimed (£170) is grossly exaggerated and disproportionate to any alleged breach, especially considering this took place on private land where no such amount can be reasonably applied. Furthermore, no actual damages or losses have been incurred by the Claimant as a result of my vehicle’s brief stop.
-
I require the Claimant to provide strict proof of all allegations made against me, including evidence that a valid PCN was issued on the date stated and that my vehicle was in breach of any parking terms.
I believe that the facts stated in this is witness statement are true.
