Esim for data back up service
Hi, am on ID Mobile and its ok. Useable for mostly all my needs, although i am struggling with lack of 4g well any g at our local race circuit. I was thinking of maybe grabbing an eSim to use for just the data, someone like Lyca Mobile as they use EE and i know EE network coverage is okay at the circuit. I've not had a pay as you go for years, so if i decide to grab the deal can i then chop and choose which months to use so say i want to use in June, then not till August do i just turn off auto renew and then log into my account in August and pay for that month? Hopefully that makes sense?.
Although, looking like Lyca have been a bit misbehaving recently.

I'm on O2 and the data at my favourite sports location is rubbish.I got a 49p Lebara 3GB sim to use for 6 months, then ditched it at the end of the 'deal duration' and had to up my game to 99p for the next one!0

ohhh, just had a look. 90p p/m for a 15gb 5 month contract which seems good. Only problem, they dont do eSIM's at the minute

No way would I be giving Lyca any payment method details unless I could guarantee that they self-destruct in 5 seconds.0

Would any of these esim providers be of use for a free / cheap basic service:Discussion: https://www.ispreview.co.uk/talk/threads/rwg-offering-esims-and-multi-network-sims-and-unlimited-data.41774/Discussion: https://www.ispreview.co.uk/talk/threads/seeek-esim-discussion.41261/

Firsty is only 100MB iirc, without sitting through video adverts for more data and Seeek seems to be dead, their eSIMs have stopped working and customer service hasn’t replied to people in weeks.====0 -
I've a Lyca mobile esim as a 2nd SIM in my phone , Lyca is EE , my main SIM is O2 .
There's often introductory offers for 99pEx forum ambassador

Pretty impressive for free. No idea which operator's service was being used. Needs location and notifications access so not overly nosey. Surprisingly, does not need payment method setting up until paid for service is accessed.0 -
