Definition of full service history and impact on Kia warranty

The main dealer is not Kia, it's just Fred Bloggs Garages Ltd.jimjames said:Surely a Kia main dealer wouldn't be selling a car that doesn't have a full service history to benefit from a Kia warranty? Have you asked the dealer?
Not every car on their forecourt will be prepared and sold to the same standard. This is especially true when you buy from the Fred Bloggs Specialist Car Company Ltd forecourt next door, which is where they shift the stuff that doesn't meet minimum dealer standards.
Even at the main dealer, the person you buy the car from is not the same person who will have to go to Kia with a begging bowl if something goes wrong.
With most importers - small warranty claims rarely need anything more than a glance at the service indicator to ensure that you are not overdue. Bigger stuff is when the really big magnifying glasses come out...
