The start of June to start the switch sounds like a good plan. 1st is a Saturday, would it be better to wait until Monday (3rd)?0

Has anyone got cashback from Quidco or topcashback opening a tsb current account recently whilst holding an existing tsb current account? Reason I ask is for the last two years at least there is a condition that to earn cashback you can’t already hold a tsb current account. Hoping this isn’t enforced!0

I have been in this situation and still been paid. TSB's inability to merge together profiles automatically is no doubt a factor in this.Yorkshire_Pud said:Has anyone got cashback from Quidco or topcashback opening a tsb current account recently whilst holding an existing tsb current account? Thanks, I will give it a go then. I’m loathe to close my two tsb current accounts just to qualify then maybe having all the passport photo, ID stuff to do that I can hopefully swerve by being an existing customer.WillPS said:

TSB is my main bank and I already have a spend and save account earning £5 cashback a month. Does this rule me out from switching? I have never had a switch offer before. Thanks.0

You would need to close (or switch out) your existing Spend & Save account. The switching offer requires opening a new Spend & Save account and TSB only allow you to hold one at a time. Once it's closed open a new one and switch a current account from a different bank into it.Turnedoutniceagain said:TSB is my main bank and I already have a spend and save account earning £5 cashback a month. Wait until June to open your new account so you can avail of all 6 months double cashback. If you're with Topcashback or Quidco you can get £30 extra cash by opening your new account through them (see earlier posts in this thread).

I believe TSB only allow one Spend & Save Plus account, therefore Turnedoutniceagain would not have to close their existing S&S account.

If you have an account to switch in there’s nothing to stop you doing a switch. Whether you still qualify for the incentive depends on how diligent tsb are. They tend not to be. As it’s your main account you don’t really want to close it just for this offer unless you want to switch to say first direct if they are still running their switch offer.Turnedoutniceagain said:TSB is my main bank and I already have a spend and save account earning £5 cashback a month. Thanks.Even if you don’t qualify this time you can set yourself up for the next tsb offer because usually getting the previous offer makes you ineligible for the subsequent offer. (Or does it!? I’m going to find out. There’s the rules and then there’s the reality, best of all no crime is committed having a go because anyone can do a switch you don’t claim it and if you fail to get it just do the others and come back to this in future).1 -

Out of interest, how many Spend & Save accounts do TSB allow you to have open at the same time and can you get £5 per month cashback for 6 months on each one?
May be worth opening the new one and switching out the old one anyway to avail of one of the other switching offers available at the moment.0 -
Thanks for the input everyone. Another question please is, I believe it's 5 DC spends before 5 July, then 20 a month, and 20 in December to qualify for all 3 rewards. So does that mean if account is opened in early June you use DC 20 times a month for the next 7 months?0
