The DWP could identify you with that number (I used stars in case you wanted to delete it)The Compensation Recovery Unit, part of the DWP, has its own set of alpha-numerical reference numbers in the format AAA-111, assuming that matches the format of the reference you posted (I can't see your post). The reference number is on any correspondence that is sent from CRU.0
