I had assumed from your name that it was your meter, was about to congratulate you on your ingenuity....

I might dig out some of my other 'interesting' photographs if I get some spare time. That one isn't the worst I've seen.Spoonie_Turtle said:I'm not knowledgeable in the least about electrics but even I can tell that looks terrifying!0 -

My hobby as a meter reader for 20 years was catching fiddlers and I have lots of photos of fiddled electric and gas meters which I always took if I could to send as evidence to Revenue Protection at British Gas .BarelySentientAI said:

.Two stand out in the same league as that one with bare copper wire being used to connect the two lives .Deliberately stripped too which I can t understand as they are always use insulated bypass cable in various thicknesses with some of them using very thin wire which would soon overheat.
.Another one in an outside box we had to call the bomb squad out because the bypass wire was connected also to some device .Have you worked in the same business to get the photos ?0 -
Not quite - I have other professional reasons to be attending properties where fiddles might have occurred. Frequently these reasons are of a horticultural nature - amazing how many people seem to be interested in growing "peppers and tomatoes" in their loft.SAC2334 said:
